Alison Wagonfeld has announced on LinkedIn that she will be leaving Google Cloud after nearly a decade with the organisation. She currently serves as Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Google Cloud.
Wagonfeld will exit Google in late January to join NVIDIA as its Chief Marketing Officer. In her LinkedIn post, she wrote, “After nearly 10 years of building Google Cloud from a promising start-up in 2016 to a thriving $60B run-rate business today, I will be leaving Google in late January to join NVIDIA as its Chief Marketing Officer. I’m excited to be joining Jensen’s leadership team in a new role heading up marketing and communications as NVIDIA embarks on its next phase of growth.”
She will become NVIDIA’s first Chief Marketing Officer and will report to Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang.
Wagonfeld began her career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. She later held leadership roles at Greenlight (Internet Brands) as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, served as Executive Director of the Harvard Business School California Research Center, and was an Operating Partner at Emergence Capital, a Silicon Valley–based venture capital firm focused on enterprise cloud companies.
