EY India today announced the appointment of Gaurav Bhalotia as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Gaurav will lead EY India’s innovation and technology strategy, working closely with client service and product teams to enhance and expand the firm’s software-driven solutions.
Gaurav’s appointment comes at a time when EY India is rapidly expanding its AI-powered, technology-led business solutions to help clients navigate a fast-evolving digital landscape. The firm’s Technology practice has recorded significant growth in recent years, with plans to further scale its AI, data, and digital transformation capabilities, stated a press release.

Gaurav brings over two decades of experience in technology leadership, large-scale systems, machine learning, and product strategy. Before joining EY India, he served as the CTO of Udaan, a B2B e-commerce platform, where he led product, engineering, data science, design, and infrastructure, building a robust technology backbone that enabled rapid scaling. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, he played a key role in shaping the company’s early technology landscape, including customer platforms and product stacks for discovery, web, and merchandising.
Gaurav also founded FindMyHealth, a personalized wellness platform, and has been an advisor and angel investor to several early-stage startups. He began his career in the US with Oracle after completing his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California. He also holds a BTech from IIT Bombay.
