Abhishek Joshi has stepped down as the Head of ShemarooMe, the digital streaming platform of Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd.

Joshi joined ShemarooMe in March 2023, bringing with him extensive experience in the media and entertainment sector. During his time at the company, he focused on strengthening the platform’s position in the competitive OTT landscape. Under his leadership, ShemarooMe expanded its digital offerings, catering to both Subscription Video on Demand (SVoD) and Advertising-based Video on Demand (AVoD) audiences.
Before joining ShemarooMe, Joshi held senior leadership roles at various media organizations. At MX Player, he was Senior Vice President and Business Head for SVoD and Business Partnerships, where he played a crucial role in building the platform’s subscription model, MX Gold.
Prior to that, at Sony Pictures Networks India, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, Subscription, and Content Licensing for the digital business, contributing to the company’s digital expansion. He also led Zenga Media as CEO, focusing on mobile and digital video content distribution.
