Zomato takes Mumbai Metro commuters to ‘Chaatkopar’

Zomato is known for its quirky marketing strategies, right from witty tweets to using media platforms and media vehicles in a creative yet simplistic way. The food delivery platform has yet again become the talking topic in the world of marketing with its latest takeover of the local transport of Mumbai.

The company made commuters smile when they took over the PSA system of Mumbai Metro taking people to “Chaatkopar” instead of Ghatkopar, the last stop for Mumbai Blue Line Metro. The announcer was heard saying - Next station Chaatkopar, no no no Ghatkopar, if you heard Chaatkopar, you are hungry!’, immediately bringing smiles to many faces.

Sharing the video on LinkedIn, Anupam Singh, Program Manager at Zomato said, “In the vibrant city of Mumbai, Zomato has become a familiar presence, from restaurants to the grandest festival pandals and the iconic Worli Sea Link. But now we're not just visible, we're audible too.”

Last year, Zomato made a wave on social media with their ooh campaign,  ‘Kheer Maangoge, Kheer denge’ making every brand to jump on the bandwagon.
