Allana Consumer Products Ltd. has appointed Manish Bandlish as its new Managing Director, marking a significant leadership shift for the company as it deepens its focus on high-growth consumer categories. Bandlish stepped into the role on December 1, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience across manufacturing, FMCG, and retail.His responsibilities will span ACPL’s wide portfolio pet food, frozen produce, bakery essentials, coffee, and more as the company sharpens its long-term consumer strategy. One senior leader at the group summed up the mood by saying, “Manish brings a consumer-first lens at a time when the category is changing faster than ever.”
Bandlish’s most recent role as Managing Director of Mother Dairy is widely seen as a defining phase of his career. During his tenure, the organisation underwent a shift toward agility and innovation, repositioning itself to better connect with changing consumer expectations. “Mother Dairy became more future-ready under his leadership,” an industry observer noted, crediting him with building stronger brands and smarter distribution playbooks.
His earlier experience spans JK Foods, Metro Cash and Carry, Subhiksha, and Marico exposing him to a mix of formats that shaped his understanding of India’s evolving food market.Raj Lekhwani, Group CFO of the Allana Group, emphasised the significance of his appointment: “As ACPL expands deeper into categories like pet nutrition, ice creams, frozen foods and coffee, his leadership will be central to shaping our next chapter.”Bandlish expressed enthusiasm about the move, noting that ACPL’s values and global capabilities were key motivators. “The Indian consumer foods space is evolving quickly and ACPL is well positioned to lead in quality and innovation,” he said, adding that he hopes to build brands that create “sustainable long-term value.”
With a B.Tech. from Jamia Millia Islamia and a marketing degree from IIM Lucknow, Bandlish steps into the role at a moment when ACPL is expanding both within India and in global markets through categories that reflect shifting consumer priorities from premium ice creams to science-backed pet nutrition.
