Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri.com, reported robust financial performance for the third quarter, as of December 31, 2024, demonstrating resilience and growth across its diversified portfolio of online classified platforms. The company posted a consolidated revenue from operations of ?722.4 crore, marking a 15.2% year-over-year (YoY) increase from ?627.1 crore in Q3 FY24. This growth was driven by sustained momentum in its recruitment business and improving contributions from non-recruitment verticals.

Net profit surged 141.5% YoY to ?288.4 crore, up from ?119.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal year. This exceptional growth was supported by improved operational efficiencies and a 20.4% YoY increase in standalone operating profit, which reached ?263.4 crore. The operating profit margin expanded to 39.2%, reflecting disciplined cost management despite a 7% YoY rise in total expenses to ?487 crore. Employee costs, constituting 62.6% of expenditures, grew modestly by 9.7% to ?305.6 crore.

The recruitment vertical, Naukri.com, remained the primary revenue driver, contributing ?527 crore (73% of total revenue) with a 12.3% YoY growth. The real estate platform 99acres generated ?104 crore, while Jeevansathi (matrimony) and Shiksha (education) collectively contributed ?91 crore, showcasing 32% YoY growth in non-recruitment businesses. Management highlighted that these segments are nearing breakeven, signaling potential for future profitability diversification.

However, Info Edge ad spends reduced by 4.6% YoY, and by 10% QoQ, with approximately 27% YoY reduction in marketing spends in FY25 for Jeevansathi. According to the investor presentation for 99acres, the company said, "We continued to increase the efficiency of our digital performance marketing spends, applying analytics, creative content & audience optimization."
