India Today Group has appointed senior journalist and Harvard-certified nutritionist Sonal Mehrotra Kapoor to lead its upcoming health and wellness omni-platform brand.
With over 17 years of experience in journalism, Kapoor has built her career across some of India’s most respected media houses, taking on roles as storyteller, editor, and on-screen anchor. She joins India Today Group after a three-and-a-half-year stint at Moneycontrol, where she served as an editor. Prior to that, she spent nearly 12 years at NDTV, covering a wide range of stories and anchoring prominent shows.
In her new role, Kapoor will report to B.V. Rao and work closely with Supriya Prasad on special initiatives. The Group said the platform will be the first of its kind in India, delivering trusted health-related information, services, and content across all media formats, catering to the growing audience interest in holistic wellness.
Welcoming her to the team, India Today Group said in a statement, “We are thrilled to welcome Sonal Mehrotra Kapoor, who joins us to lead the creation of a first-of-its-kind integrated health and wellness omni-platform brand in the country.”
