BCCI invites bids for Women's Premier League partnership rights

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids from "reputed entities" for partnership rights of the Women's Premier League (WPL). The board has released the Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the same.In a circular by Jay Shah, BCCI Secy, the board stated that the detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, rights and obligations, etc. are contained in the RFQ, which will be made available at the payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh plus GST if applicable. The RFQ is available for purchase till January 19."Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the RFQ. However, only those satisfying the eligibility criteria set out in the RFQ and subject to the other terms and conditions set out therein shall be eligible to bid. It is clarified that merely purchasing the RFQ does not entitle any person to bid," said BCCI.The entities invited to bid exclude categories like Alcohol Products, Betting, Cryptocurrency, Real Money Gaming and Fantasy Sports Gaming, Tobacco, Financial Services & Banking, Passenger Vehicles (Four-Wheeler Automobile), Tyre, Tubes & Flaps, Beverages, and one which is likely to offend public morals such as, including but not limited to pornography.
