Vidya Kailasam Hangal Promoted to Senior Leadership Role at Mondelez International

Vidya Kailasam Hangal has been promoted to Director – Category Planning & Activation (Head–Customer Marketing) at Mondelez International, according to an update she shared on LinkedIn.Announcing the move, Hangal said she is beginning a new role focused on driving category strategy and customer marketing initiatives at the company.

Hangal has been with Mondelez International for over 11 years. Before this elevation, she served as Director – Omnichannel, where she led the Organised Trade vertical for Mondelez India Foods. In that role, she oversaw Modern Trade across B2C and B2B channels, along with the company’s e-commerce operations, including quick commerce, e-grocery and online marketplaces in India.

A seasoned business leader, Hangal brings more than two decades of experience in building and scaling high-growth brands across leading FMCG and consumer goods organisations. Her career spans senior roles at Mondelez, Britannia Industries, and The Coca-Cola Company, among others.

Earlier in her career, she has also worked with Novartis Consumer Health, gaining experience across diverse categories and go-to-market models, further strengthening her expertise in category leadership and customer-centric growth.
