My beloved ex-boss passed away on 3rdDec, and her cremation ceremony took place on 5thDec. I went there to pay my condolences to my wonderful ex-boss who was a veteran in the media industry and one who completed 50 years in this industry.

This is an ode to her, of feelings straight from the heart to someone who she nurtured and groomed me to be the leader that I am today.

You were my guiding light, and your wisdom shines through memories bright.

With grace and love, you showed the way, helping me then and even today.

You held respect for partners, strong and true.

Grooming young talent, that’s what you would do.

You instilled humility into me when I was so young, to date I am grateful for the professional I have become.

Servicing clients’ businesses as if it was thine, your dedication and passion eternally shine.

In your absence we hold dear your legacy. Embracing the wisdom, you shared so free.

In media’s realm, for fifty years you soared, a veteran, an inspiration and so much more.
