The highlight of Goafest 2018, which opened on the 5th of April was the talk by the renowned Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev. In addition to highlighting key aspects of brand building, he touched upon a number of key attributes essential to every man’s life in this fast-paced world.
He mentioned that wealth is considered the result of success today. However, his prime motivation has always been doing something good for the country. His dream was not just to create a successful business in terms of wealth, but one that would benefit humanity. He stressed that he never gave up in the face of adversity and today has an empire worth INR 50,000 crore.
“The biggest brands are built on trust and honesty; these two factors are just as important as are invention and creativity in creating successful brands.” Cost cutting when trying to build a brand hampers not just the product but also the retention of consumers.
Baba Ramdev also mentioned that Patanjali will be launching dairy products and aims to be the biggest brand in terms of turnover in the FMCG category very soon. He further mentioned the brand will soon foray into fashion (kids, women & men’s fashion and accessories) and is on its way to becoming a global brand.
