Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd, one of India’s leading and innovative paint companies, embarked on an initiative to spread the message of healthy living by taking up the task to transform the Sarhetta village of Alwar, Rajasthan. In association with Neemrana Group of Hotels, Kansai Nerolac painted the village with their range of healthy home paints to make the village a happy place.
Neemrana and Nerolac, with the help of renowned artist Neeraj Goswami, painted more than 850 households, aanganwadi and two schools in bright, vibrant colours as a part of this noble initiative.
Kansai Nerolac’s vision was to build awareness amongst the villagers of Sarhetta and persuade them to keep their surroundings clean, healthy and happy through painting, art and colours. Nerolac, being a responsible corporate, took over the challenge to bring in the key element of happiness – colours – to the lives of the villagers to accomplish the goal of holistic development taken up by Neemrana Group of Hotels to foster development of villages in Rajasthan.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Peeyush Bachlaus, Head – Marketing, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. said, “Development does not end at building infrastructures, but also encompasses establishing a healthy future. At Kansai Nerolac, we strive to take up initiatives that spread this message across communities. We took up this opportunity to colour the village, ultimately transforming the lives of the inhabitants of Sarhetta through paintings, art and colours. We are confident to scale this initiative to other parts of the country with the intent to provide future generations with a beautiful and healthy environment. We are glad to be associated with Neemrana Group of Hotels, who supported the overall development of the village.”
Painting at Sarhetta saw large-scale public participation, where all the villagers came together to paint their own vicinity, taking ownership of their own happiness. Other artists involved in the initiative were Vikram Kumar and Swapna Maini.
“We are thankful to Kansai Nerolac for supporting us in our cause of developing Sarhetta village and bringing a positive and happy change to the lives of its people. Neemrana believes that it is up to us to improve the standard of life of people living in villages. It is a must to educate the villagers about the importance of general hygiene, cleanliness and education and at the same time provide them with livelihood opportunities to bring about a holistic change in their lives.
Ultimately, how can we forget about colours, the aspect that brings smiles to all the faces? We partnered with Nerolac, artists and students to help us with transforming the village and I can proudly say that we have achieved what we set out to do – bringing smiles to the faces of the villagers” added Mr Aman Nath, Founder and Chairman, Neemrana Group of Hotels.
