Chrome Data Analytics and Media the primary research company conducted an in-depth survey on the youth channel consumption pattern in India. Youth channels are constantly bringing innovative content to keep the audience hooked to their televisions sets and drive more viewers to the channels.
The survey was conducted in 6 metropolitan cities Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, between a time period of 6th to 10th November for an age group of 15-40 years of age. The sample size of 851 consisted of 62% male and 38% female.
The study on youth channel content consumption analyses various aspects of the content, popularity, reach, preferred genres on leading youth channels etc.
The key findings of the study are:
· A large number of respondents 76% watch youth channels on TV
· MTV, Bindass and Zoom top the chart of youth channels in India
· Realty shows are most preferred genres on youth channels followed by dramas,talk shows and Bollywood news
