Worldoo.com has emerged as a go-to internet platform for children, having evolved with feedback from parents and educators around the country. Worldoo.com 2.0 has just launched a host of interactive features for kids on the internet.
Encapsulating the topics that children, parents and teachers wanted to see as part of the platform which included value for money, power of giving, skills and tricks and sports, some of the exciting landmarks include, an interactive zoo packed with information on animals from around the world (Doo Zoo), a single destination for learning to learn skills beyond what is taught in school i.e. Life Skills and Cool Skills (Doo Academy), an in-house airport where kids can travel to different corners around the world with the click of a button (Doo Holidays) sure to be a favourite amongst kids amongst the other host of offerings!
Commenting on the launch of the platform, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan said, “I have closely been following the developments of worldoo.com and am quite excited by how it has taken shape. The participation of children, parents and teachers contributing towards the look and feel has been extremely overwhelming. This only goes to show how much more involved the Indian parent is becoming towards their child’s internet activities which would help them become more responsible in their usage. worldoo.com has been extremely foresighted in understanding the relationship of children to the digital world and ensured that they gain only quality content. Having started at a time when acceptance for internet for kids was low, worldoo.com has been able to understand the role of the parent in this journey. Having done so, the platform is a perfect synthesis of balancing a child’s needs and a parent’s concerns. Just like we hold our child’s hand and teach them to walk, in a similar way, guiding them to take their first steps on the online world is immensely critical. worldoo.com is just one step in this direction which we can envision to be a community effort going forward.â€
Mr. Monish Ghatalia (Founder – worldoo.com) says, “The additional security features as well as the parental dashboard are an attempt to keep the parent as involved in their child’s internet journey thereby hand holding them and encouraging every step of the way. These well thought out features will ensure that worldoo.com turns out to be a pleasant experience not only for the child but the parent as well. Our goal has always been to ensure a pleasant and value based online experience for children on the internet and we also hope to open the lines of communication between parent and child in this internet age which is of critical importance.â€
Having been well received by kids when the platform was first launched in 2013, with over 90,000 registered users, worldoo.com, aims to take creative engagement to an exciting new level. Some of the features include:
- A virtual zoo; where kids can virtually interact with a variety of animals from across the world, learn more about them and take a jungle safari at the Doo Zoo
- A chance to get your own passport! Take a flight to a foreign land and punch in your passport to every corner of the world with Doo Holiday
- Pick from ‘life’ skills and ‘cool’ skills and learn beyond what you learn in school. Didn’t know how to tie a shoelace by yourself? Or want to make some cool artwork to impress your friends? Grab this chance to shine at the Doo Academy!
- Help ‘Mo’ and ‘Ki’, worldoo.com’s new flag bearers fight against social issues. Make your voice heard and learn to do good from evil with War Quarters
Some of the additional features include a time limit feature, starting from 20 minutes and extending to 1 hour, enhanced security to protect information of the young users on the website as well as weekly activity reports to parents.
