Ultra-luxury Italian fashion brand Stefano Ricci sets foot in India, launches flagship store

Stefano Ricci made his maiden visit to India to launch the flagship store of his exclusive Italian international ultra-luxury fashion and lifestyle brand STEFANO RICCI in upscale South Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, along with Jackie Manglani, President, India operations and Filippo Ricci, Creative Director.

Stefano Ricci invited the crème de la crème of Mumbai to his flagship store, including Ratan Tata, who was the Guest of Honor. The STEFANO RICCI boutique at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is spread across a sprawling 2500 sq. ft. in one of the prime locations in the city. The interior has the vibe of Italy and transport you to the renaissance city of Florence. It features a subtle blend of contemporary style and mid-century elements. Contemporary furniture, wall panels and the trademark Stefano Ricci brass eagle head heightens the sense of a royalty and mystique.

Speaking about the launch, designer Stefano Ricci said, “I am proud to open my first boutique in India, after having served an international clientele, comprising many members of the Indian elite, in over 40 years of activity.”

In India, STEFANO RICCI is headed by Jackie Manglani, who said, “The driving force behind bringing this globally established brand to India is the passion to do something extraordinary on my return, after being away from the country for 25 years. India has come a long way in the fashion world today and people do appreciate high quality products. Stefano Ricci is all about expert craftsmanship and he strives for perfection in whatever he does.”

The luxury store houses the brand’s most unique and exclusive products that include a wide range of menswear-suits, dress shirts, casual shirts, jeans, polo shirts, casual wear and neckties, in addition to bags and accessories made from the finest exotic leather. The store concept is divided into 3 broad sections- The STEFANO RICCI menswear, STEFANO RICCI home décor and STEFANO RICCI Bespoke section. It is designed for the sophisticated and well-travelled customer who has a refined taste and seeks perfection and exclusivity. The store is truly a blend of STEFANO RICCI’s rich heritage and modern face. The brand’s line also includes the STEFANO RICCI Royal Suite Collection, in constant evolution, covering various types of products: porcelain and crystal dinner services, silverware, furnishing accessories, luxury linens and leather goods.

The company founded by the Florentine designer Stefano Ricci in 1972 counts now over 43 mono-brand boutiques worldwide.
