OLX.in and Flipkart kick off a joint marketing campaign

OLX--2Popular e-tailer Flipkart, that has been in the news for all the right reasons has inked a one of its kind tie-up with OLX.in, a popular online classifieds portal. The new venture will leverage the strengths of the two brands to offer combined benefits of their platforms to a fast growing internet user base.

The first phase of the tie-up will be kicked off with a joint marketing campaign urging consumers to upgrade by selling their used products on OLX.in before buying the new products on Flipkart.

The joint initiative by the two online market leaders has been launched to further increase the awareness levels and accelerate the adoption of online platforms for buying and selling. The campaign will run for a month, and will include several verticals within the Electronics categories.

Speaking on the occasion Amarjit Batra, CEO, OLX.in said, “The idea for this tie-up was conceived keeping in mind the strong and independent position of OLX and Flipkart in their respective spaces. The rationale for the number one online classifieds platform and the leading e-commerce platform coming together for a marketing campaign is a seamless one.”

Recently Filpkart was in the news for acquiring a major stake in Myntra.com, an online fashion portal.
