The fourth edition of exchange4mediaâ€™s annual OOH Conference and Awards culminated with the declaration of the winners of the coveted Awards at a glittering ceremony in Gurgaon on March 20.
In all, 58 Awards were given away (including Popular Choice and Excellence Awards), which saw Milestone Brandcom and Hindustan Unilever emerge as major winners. The total metals tally included 14 Gold, 16 Silver and 21 Bronze awards.
The Gold winners included Bates CHI & Wallstreet for Life OKâ€™s â€˜The Adventures of Hatimâ€™ (Innovative Use of Existing Medium), O&M for HULâ€™s Lifebuoy Roti Reminder (Innovative Creation of a New Medium, Best Outdoor Plan â€“ Strategy and Most Effective Outdoor Plan ), Brandmovers India for MTS Durga Puja Awards (Most Innovative Use of Digital OOH Media), Candid Marketing for Nokia Lumia 1020 CSI Activation (Most Innovative Use of Indoor OOH Media in a Point-of-Purchase Environment) and Milestone Brandcom for McDonalds Double Burger, Double Joyride (Synergy Award).
Apart from this, Milestone Brandcom, DDB MudraMax and O&M also swept the Creative Awards for individual industry segments. Milestone Brandcom was also honoured with the â€˜Media Agency of the Yearâ€™ and â€˜Creative Agency of the Yearâ€™ after garnering a tally of three Gold, six Silver and nine bronze metals. O&M was runner-up with six Gold, one Silver and one Bronze metals. Lifebuoyâ€™s â€˜Roti Reminderâ€™ was adjudged â€˜Campaign of the Yearâ€™. Hindustan Unilever was declared â€˜Advertiser of the Yearâ€™.
As in the case of the previous years, the jury members had the unenviable task of selecting the one person they felt had made significant contributions in the OOH space. This year, the â€˜OOH Person of the Yearâ€™ honour went to Sunder Hemrajani, MD, Times OOH. Incidentally, Times OOH bagged the â€˜Media Owner of the Yearâ€™ Award after bagging some high-profile tenders last year.
Industry veteran SubhasDey Niyogi, MD, Selvel was conferred with the â€˜Lifetime Achievement Awardâ€™.
