Brand custodians to relate their stories at Pitch CMO Summit in Mumbai and Delhi

The annual event from the exchange4media group is back to showcase the biggest and the best brands, their success stories and how they continuously reinvented to stay ahead in the game. “Reinventing Brands” is the theme for the Summit this year and brands like HUL, PepsiCo, Kellogg’s, Godrej will be at the centre of discussions. Hemant Bakshi, who joined HUL way back in 1989 is the keynote Speaker in Mumbai and Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo D Shivkumar will deliver the keynote address in Delhi.

The Summit will showcase several brands that reinvented themselves over the years and sustained their image over the years. Lessons from HUL, PepsiCo, Godrej, Mother Dairy, IBM, Kelloggs, Idea will serve as useful pointers to those that wish to follow their footsteps.

Sunil Kataria, Executive Vice President, Sales and New Business Development, Godrej Consumer Products Limited was the man, instrumental in reinventing brand Parachute during his stint with Marico. Parachute was apparently losing its equity between 99 and 2002 due to increased competition in the category, just before the brand came out with innovative products like Parachute Jasmine and Parachute Sampoorna. He now heads Godrej Consumer Products Limited that has a similar story of reinvention to relate.

Some of the newer brands have excelled at reinvention with their smart marketing strategies and their stories will be a lesson in how how to compete in a cluttered market. Shubodip Pal, Chief Marketing Officer from Micromax and Groupon’s Ankur Warikoo will address the summit providing a fresh perspective to reinvention. Micromax has evolved to become the second largest smartphone manufacturer in India within a short span of time.

The Speaker list at the Summit also includes names like: Mohit Ganju, SVP – Marketing & Communication at Induslnd Bank, Harpreet Singh Tibb, Marketing Director at Kelloggs India, Subhashis Basu, Business Head at Mother Dairy and also Vansantha Kumar, Director of Marketing and Communications India South Asia at IBM, Amarjit Batra, CEO, OLX India, Ajit Joshi, CEO and MD, Infiniti Retail and Yateesh Srivastava, COO, Aegon Religare.
