According to jury chairperson for Pitch Brands 50 Awards, Ramesh Jude Thomas, President, EQUiTOR consulting, “Brands have to revitalize themselves in a new environment by restoring their original values like the 65 year international music legend, Carlos Augusto Alves  Santana who became famous in the 60s and 70s with his band ‘Santana’ which pioneered the fusion of rock and Latin American music.”

Talking about the positioning factor of the brands, Ramanujam Sridhar, CEO, Brand Comm says, “Brands continuously question their positioning when they hit a rough patch which propels them to constantly update their brands with regards to the market position and analysis. This is when they re-look at their strategies and take a step forward.”

Breaking the bulk and creating affordability is what brands should look forward to, says Sharad Sarin, Senior Marketing Professor, XLRI. According to Sarin, “If you break the bulk, you create affordability, which was when 50 paise to Re 1 sachets were introduced in market which brought quality of life to people who could not afford it otherwise.”
