The 12th Marketing Summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be held on the 27th and 28th of August in Mumbai. The inaugural session of the event ‘Who says Elephants Can’t Dance: Marketing to a billion’, will see eminent industry professionals like Thomas Varghese, Chairman, CII Marketing Summit 2012 & CEO – Textiles Business; Aditya Birla Group; Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries and Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Auto, addressing the audience.
The first session of the day titled as Power Session: Market in turbulent times, will discuss the importance of marketing in today’s times, within and outside the organisation. And how should it integrate rural consumers, digital consumers and segments like luxury, in its scheme of things. This will be followed by the fifth session of the event, titled Leveraging New Media – Online, Social, Digital, Mobile and Augmented Reality. It will throw light on the concerns and advantages that social media poses for today’s marketers. The session will be chaired by Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media.
