In a senior management reshuffle at Adidas Group India, Subhinder Singh Prem put in his papers as Managing Director for the company, to be replaced by Claus Heckerott, who till now was positioned as the company’s VP Finance Global Sales. The new MD will report to Roland Auschel, Adidas Group’s Chief Sales Officer Multichannel Markets.
Vishnu Bhagat, COO of the India operations, too, resigned with immediate effect. Another important change that has taken place is the appointment of Frederic Serrant as Sales Director with effect from April 1, 2012 and he will report Heckerott.
Heckerott, a Canadian national, has over 14 years of senior management experience within the Adidas Group, while, Serrant, a French national, joined the Indian team in January coming from France where he had held the position of Sales Director since 2007.
Last year in October, when the German sportswear giant Adidas and Reebok announced its Joint Operation Model being implemented in India, Subhinder Singh Prem was promoted from MD, Reebok to head adidas India’s operations in the same capacity. The company gave no reasons for the changes and Prem was not available for comments.
