Nivea India has appointed Sunil Gadgil as Marketing Director for its India Operations. Gadgil comes in from Bausch and Lomb, where he headed the marketing function and was responsible for marketing and trade marketing strategy for the Vision Care business. He had also led a global task force for creating the â€˜Emerging Marketsâ€™ value propositions for the brand.
Commenting on Gadgil’s appointment, Rakshit Hargave, Managing Director, Nivea India (an affiliate of Beiersdorf AG), said, â€œWe are delighted to welcome Sunil to the Nivea family. Sunil is a respected member of the marketing industry and his expertise, combined with our insights, will help us take Nivea to the next level in the coming years.â€
Gadgil brings on board 14 years of experience of which over 10 years have been spent in the marketing function across hair &and personal care, vision care, household care and credit cards. He began his career with Sales at Asian Paints and had thereafter handled various roles in Marketing with Marico, Godrej Sara Lee and GE Money.
On his new role, Gadgil said, â€œNivea has immense potential and a great image.
